After you schedule your date with us, you will receive information with a link to purchase the approved policy. The email you receive will provide you with more information. We have commercial insurance to protect us. Event insurance is for your protection.
FAQs
What do I need to reserve my date?
We require a signed rental agreement and a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your date.
When do you require balance payment and guest count?
3 weeks prior to your event, we will bill you for your rental fee balance, a $500 damage deposit (returned within 21 days after the event if no damages are incurred) and payment for any add-ons.
What if I need to cancel?
Our first preference is always to reschedule and are happy to do so at no cost. If that is also not an option, The Venue Baxter will retain the refund.
Can I bring and serve my own food?
We require a full-service catered meal for reception guests. We have a preferred vendor list to choose from. Any vendor outside our preferred list will need to be approved by us.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No, outside alcohol is no allowed. Please do NOT bring outside alcohol on the property or you may forfeit your damage deposit and bar deposit. Alcohol must be brought in through a catering service or licensed safe serve bar vendor.
Can we bring home leftover food from the meal?
The Minnesota State Department of Health food safety codes, you must consume all food onsite.
Can we have open flames, a fog machine or cold spark machines?
Open-flame candles are not allowed, however you may use candles that are fully enclosed in glass and have a closed base to prevent wax damage to tables or linens. Fog machines and cold spark machines are not allowed.
Can we hang and attach decor?
To help preserve the integrity of our space, we ask that no permanent fixtures or attachments be used when decorating. This includes nails, screws, staples, tacks, or any materials that may cause damage to walls, ceilings, or surfaces. Only approved, non-damaging methods (such as removable adhesive strips) may be used. Any damage resulting from décor installation may incur repair fees.
Do we need to clean up after?
Guests are responsible for removing all personal items and décor brought into the space and returning any moved furniture or setup elements back to their original placement. This includes taking down decorations, gathering gifts, and ensuring all personal belongings are cleared at the end of the event. Our team will take care of standard venue cleaning, including floors, restrooms, and general sanitation, so you can focus on enjoying your celebration.
